Application Guideline for Bisa Research Grant (Fund for the Newly-employed Faculty)
1. Eligibility a. Eligible Applicant: Tenure-track Full-time Professors (newly employed either on Sep. 1, 2011 or Mar. 1, 2012) b. Not Eligible Applicant : Those who have already benefited from off-campus research funds or research service expenses for the same research subject 2. Research Areas: Articles, Exhibition or performance 3. Amount of Research Fund a. The field of Humanities, Social Science or Arts : krw6,000,000 b. The field of Natural Science or Engineering, Medicine : krw7,000,000 4. Research Period : March. 1, 2012 ~ February. 28, 2013 5. Application a. Required Documents : Application Form (Refer to the attached file) b. How to Apply: Submit the required documents (files) to the Research Support Team (Room 300, Graduate School Building) c. Application Period: February 13, 2012 ~ February 17 6. Selection : Research Support Team will assess Application Form included Research plan submitted by the applicants and select the qualified ones. The beneficiary will be finalized upon the acknowledgement of the president. 7. Duties of Researcher a. Submission of Research Result Report: should be done within one month after the end of the research period. b. Submission of Research Product: should be done within two years after the end of the research period. 1) case of publishing an article, a researcher should be either a single author or the first author, and the article is to be published on one of the nationwide academic journals or the international journals. 2) case of exhibition in Art field a project should be released in a facility which specialized in holding performance or exhibition. c. It is required to note “This research was supported by the Bisa Research Grant of Keimyung University in OOOO” in a published article or exhibition pamphlet. 8. In case that a researcher fails to submit a research product within 2 years after the end of the research period, the researcher should return the entire amount of research grant to the university. 9.
